Iowa Lakes Music Department Presents a Holiday Tradition: The Elizabethan Madrigal Feaste
Step back in time and begin your holiday season with the pageantry and traditions of Old England at the 26th Annual Elizabethan Madrigal Feaste, hosted by the Iowa Lakes Community College Music Department.
This year’s festivities will be held in the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center Lobby on the Estherville Campus on Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m. each evening. Tickets go on sale November 3, with reservations required by November 25. Seating is limited.
The Elizabethan Madrigal Feaste brings to life the customs of the grand Christmas celebrations of early England, honoring the true meaning of Christmas through music, merriment, and tradition. Guests will enjoy a re-creation of beloved holiday pageantry, including the dramatic procession of the boar’s head, lively jester antics, strolling carolers, Wassail toasts, flaming pudding, and a royal dessert fit for the season.
The evening includes a four-course meal, paired with spirited comedic entertainment and the beautiful voices of the Royal Iowa Lakes Chamber Choir. Performers will be adorned in Renaissance costumes, and while guests are invited to dress in period attire, costumes are optional.
Tickets are $25 per person, which includes the four-course meal. Reservations must be received in the Music Department and paid in full by November 25 via cash, check (payable to Iowa Lakes Music Department), or credit card.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketleap.events/tickets/iowa-lakes/madrigal-2025 or by calling the Iowa Lakes Music Department at 712.362.7902. Please note: No refunds are available after November 25.
