What is the Records & Registration Office?

The Records & Registration Office at Iowa Lakes Community College ensures the accuracy, integrity and security of student records. Additionally, we maintain and effectively manage the policies, and practices regarding registration, the academic progress and graduation. We strive to provide students with excellent and timely services.  

Request an Official Credit Transcript from Iowa Lakes

Transcripts may be requested electronically through the National Student Clearinghouse which allows you to order official transcripts via the Web at any time, 24/7. Official transcripts are generally delivered electronically in as little as one hour from when you place your order.

Request Transcripts

You have the option to order as many transcripts as you would like in one online session using any major credit or debit card. There is a minimum charge per transcript order.  Real-time email and mobile text alerts are available to notify you on the status of your order.  You can also track your order on the Transcript Order Status site.

NOTICE:

  • A student must be in good standing before a transcript will be sent.  If you have a balance please call the Business Office at 712-362-0446.  Federal Title IV recipients may still request and receive official transcripts from the college.
  • Some institutions will not accept transcripts directly from the student. If this is the case, be sure the transcript is sent directly to the institution.

Need to Send a High School Transcript to Iowa Lakes?

Students may send their official high school transcripts to Iowa Lakes Community College via mail or email. Transcripts should be sent directly from the high school to Iowa Lakes

Need to Send a Transcript from Another College to Iowa Lakes?

Students seeking to transfer credits to Iowa Lakes Community College from another institution must send official transcripts via mail or electronic service to:

HiSET/GED Transcript Request

Verification of completion or for a duplicate diploma/transcript of the GED® or HiSET® 

Official and duplicate copies of the GED or HiSET diploma/transcript MUST be obtained from Diploma Sender at www.diplomasender.com  

Follow these easy steps:

  1. Visit Diploma Sender online at www.diplomasender.com
  2. Create an account with a username and password.
  3. Complete the online order form using a credit, debit, cashiers’ check or money order for the $20.00 payment.
  4. Check the appropriate delivery method for receipt of your document:  email, FedEX, or regular mail.

Request a Non-Credit (Continuing Education) Transcript

Non-Credit (Continuing Education) transcripts can be requested by emailing communityed@iowalakes.edu.

Annual Notice to Students

Annually, Iowa Lakes Community College informs students of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as amended. This Act, with which the institution intends to comply fully, was designed to protect the privacy of education records to establish the right of students to inspect and review their education records, and to provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or misleading data through informal and formal hearings. Students also have the right to file complaints with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Office (FERPA) concerning alleged failures by the institution for compliance with the provision of the Act. Questions concerning the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act may be referred to the Records and Registration Office located within the Business Office on the Emmetsburg and Estherville Campuses.
