Iowa Lakes Community College provides dedicated Academic Advisors to each student. Academic Advisors help to guide current students through course registration and selection, program planning, degree completion, scholarships, and more. See the listing below for a description of how Academic Advisors at Iowa Lakes can help: 

• Assist with making an educational plan that fits with academic and career goals.
• Assist with accessing My Iowa Lakes, registering for classes, and viewing grades.
• Review Academic Evaluations with students to make sure that courses are completed in the correct sequence for graduation.
• Inform students of conferences, internships, and scholarship opportunities.
• Offer transfer assistance to other institutions
• Refer students to other campus resources such as Educational Counselors, Career Resource Centers, TRIO-SSS, Advising & Success Centers, or the Records Office.
• Guide and provide feedback for educational decisions. 

Note: Students should consider saving their Academic Advisor's contact information in their phone, including the advisor's name, email, phone number, and office or room number. Another option would be to write this information down in a student planner where the information can be accessed easily.
