I chose Iowa Lakes because it was close to home and had an amazing Hotel & Restaurant Management program. The best part is gaining real hands-on experience through labs and helping with the Dining Services on campus.

I thought Iowa Lakes would be a perfect place to start my college education. It was close to home, and I could get a good start on the courses I needed for my degree. I enjoy the classes that will expand my knowledge of accounting. I love the challenge of learning new things and also getting to interact with the instructor and other students. 

I chose to attend Iowa Lakes because not only was it the most affordable option around, but the instructors and staff are so nice and always willing to help you with whatever you need. At Iowa Lakes, there is such a positive learning environment for students, which is important to me. You get a high-quality education without having a university school’s cost! If you pay for your own college education and don’t want a ton of student debt, Iowa Lakes is truly the best option.

I chose Iowa Lakes because they have a very good Veterinary Technician program. I enjoy the small class sizes and working with various types of animals. Iowa Lakes was the right choice for me!

Iowa Lakes was closer to home with an affordable agriculture program that offered the opportunity for great hands-on learning experiences on the College Farm!

At Iowa Lakes, I am able to complete the required coursework online, which has allowed me to attend college on my schedule. Faculty and staff are always available when I need assistance. 

I chose Iowa Lakes because they offer a great education, close to home, with smaller class sizes that provide me with the one-on-one attention needed to help me succeed. 

I was very impressed with the College Farm and how the instructors are always willing to help out. Small town, home feeling. I enjoy the smaller class sizes, knowledgeable instructors with real-world experience, and the College Farm is close to campus too!

I chose Iowa Lakes for their agriculture programs.  The instructors are student-focused and want us to succeed. I enjoy the hands-on experiences at the college farm with the swine and cow-calf operations. 

The Human Services program helped further my knowledge of the skills required for my future career. Amy VerMulm, Human Services Professor, aided in this knowledge because she went above and beyond for her students and always made sure that our course material was understood. The Human Services program at Iowa Lakes helped shape me into the professional I hope to be.

Iowa Lakes was a place for me to attend a college that was not too far from home, where I could make a difference.

I chose Iowa Lakes because I wanted a friendly college where there was a sense of community.

Before going to Iowa Lakes, I was very nervous, but the family I made with the Admissions team changed my feelings entirely. I’ve never felt more at home or welcomed in any other environment because of them. Going to Iowa Lakes has been the best decision I’ve ever made.
