PRESS RELEASE: IOWA LAKES OFFERS AUTO DEALER CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE WITH FLEXIBLE OPTIONS
Emmetsburg, IA — Iowa Lakes Community College is offering multiple opportunities for auto dealers to complete required training through its upcoming Auto Dealer Continuing Education course. With both in-person and online options available, participants can choose the format and date that best fits their schedule.
This course provides a comprehensive overview of dealer responsibilities in Iowa and serves as both an introduction and refresher for licensed auto dealers. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the requirements to obtain and maintain a dealer’s license, along with updates on recent changes to state and federal laws, rules, and regulations impacting the auto industry.
In addition, the training will highlight new legislation from the most recent session and provide updated information from federal and state agencies. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in discussion, ask questions, and bring forward areas of concern to explore practical solutions.
As part of the course, dealers will review educational materials and videos developed by the Iowa Department of Transportation Bureau of Investigation and Identity Protection, along with consumer protection resources relevant to the industry.
Course Schedule:
All sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In-Person Options:
- Tuesday, November 3 — Emmetsburg
- Wednesday, November 18 — Algona
Online Options:
- Wednesday, September 16
- Friday, December 4
This training is designed to support compliance, strengthen industry knowledge, and ensure dealers are equipped with the most current information to operate successfully in Iowa.
