YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN – CAST ANNOUNCED

You're a Good Man Charlie Brown

(Estherville, Iowa) The cast has been announced for Iowa Lakes Community College’s upcoming production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, a beloved musical based on the classic Peanuts comic strip.

“We’re excited to announce our cast,” said Lincoln Larsen, Director of Music and Performing Arts and co-director of the musical. “It’s such a fun show with great songs, and we’re proud to bring together students and community members in an intergenerational setting.”

“The cast is a wonderful mix of seasoned performers and new talent stepping onto our stage for the first time,” added Carol Ayres Stueven, co-director of the musical. “We had many talented singers and actors audition, which made casting this show both exciting and challenging.”

Ethan Hexamer of Estherville has been cast as Charlie Brown. Hexamer brings strong comedic timing and a thoughtful understanding of the character, delivering a performance that captures both Charlie Brown’s charm and heart.

Cole Danner, an Electrical Technology major from Estherville, takes on the role of Snoopy. Danner’s energetic and playful performance shines, particularly in Snoopy’s signature musical number.

Lucy is portrayed by Mindy Truong, who brings confidence and boldness to the role while also revealing Lucy’s softer side. Her affection for Schroeder—played by Aiden Holdorf—is central to several scenes. Holdorf, a Biology major from Spirit Lake, delivers a lively performance as the Beethoven-loving pianist, highlighted in “Beethoven Day!”

Lorie Irwin of Estherville plays Sally, bringing humor and enthusiasm to the role, especially in her performance of “My New Philosophy.”

Linus is played by Dakota Kropf, an Aviation major from Sloan. True to the character, Linus never strays far from his blanket, which takes center stage in his featured song, “My Blanket.”

Rounding out the Peanuts gang are Charlie Brown’s friends—each convinced they are better at just about everything than he is:

  • Shermy – Karston Trask, Spirit Lake, Business Administration
