Eden Ehm to Open Estherville Performing Arts Series at Iowa Lakes

ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (Oct. 1, 2025) — Iowa Lakes Community College is proud to welcome Decorah native Eden Ehm to the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center as part of the 2025–2026 Estherville Performing Arts Series. Ehm will perform on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.

One of North America’s foremost young fiddlers, Ehm is dedicated to preserving and sharing the unique sound of the Hardanger fiddle, a richly ornamented instrument central to Norwegian folk traditions. She has studied under master Norwegian fiddlers, performed for King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway, and regularly appears at Scandinavian festivals throughout the United States.

Her music highlights the differences, similarities, and connections across Norway’s regional fiddle traditions, blending classical and folk influences into performances that inspire curiosity and respect for cultural traditions.
