TRIO Talent Search 2021 Event and Virtual Campus Visit Sign-Up

These events are for current Talent Search participants. If you are not a current Talent Search participant, please complete an application.

High School 9th-12th grade events:

March 27: Digital Electronics 1:00-3:00 pm

Any student who plans on working in a STEM related field would benefit greatly from this course! This class will talk about binary numbers, building logic gates and using integrated circuits to build simple digital circuits. Each student that signs up will receive an Intro to Digital Electronics Book and Kit. Instructor Chad Tischer- limited to 20 students!

April 6: Student Leadership Virtual Speaker Josh Copeland

Josh Copeland's story is one of success, failure, and perseverance. It is one that will make you laugh, cry, and make you look inside yourself to strive to be the best person you can be. He has gone from being a Division-I athlete to someone who battled depression and alcoholism with $0.33 in the bank account and jobless to running a successful business. Now he is sharing his story and experiences to inspire and encourage his audience.

April 17: Paradigm Shift Virtual Team Building Event

This event will consist of teambuilding, fun, games, and a chance to win PRIZES!

June 13-18: Houston Trip

This trip is STEM focused for students in 9-12 grade. Students who signed up last year will be given preference. By checking this event means you are interested in attending this event. We will evaluate this trip and the current pandemic with a final decision being made on or around May 3rd. If we are unable to go to Houston, we will host a Robotics Camp either on campus or virtual. We will contact those signed up, once a decision has been made. This event is limited to 40 students.

July 26-30: Chicago Trip

This trip is for students in 9-12 grade. Students who are on the wait list for the Houston Trip will be given preference. By checking this event means you are interested in attending this event. We will evaluate this trip and the current pandemic with a final decision being made on or around June 14th. If we are unable to go to Chicago, we will host a Robotics Camp either on campus or virtual. We will contact those signed up, once a decision has been made. This event is limited to 40 students.

Middle School 6th-8th Grade Events

June 7-10: STEM Camp "Your Body: A Machine"

This is for students currently in grades 6, 7 & 8. By checking this event means you are interested in attending STEM camp. A decision if this camp will be held virtual or on campus will be made 6 weeks in advance. If held on campus a STEM camp packet will be sent out at the end of April beginning of May.
