Northwest STEM Advisory Board

NW Iowa Advisory Board

Pursuant to the passage of SF 2331, Section 12, oversight for each of Iowa’s six (6) STEM Regions will be provided by a Regional Advisory Board. Members of the six advisory boards shall be appointed by the Governor. If interested in serving as a board member, you may file an application through the Governor’s Office of Boards and Commissions. Board members must be registered voters in Iowa, and reside or work within the region. Appointees serve up to three (3) years in staggered terms.

Northwest STEM Advisory Board members are vital to the success of STEM within the Northwest Region.  Board members assist the Regional STEM Manager in awarding STEM Scale-up Programs, selecting the I.O.W.A STEM Teacher Award recipients, hosting and planning STEM festivals throughout the region and much more! Board members convene on a monthly basis at sites throughout the region and meetings are accessible via technology. Look for announcements on upcoming meetings.
