(Estherville, Iowa) Get ready to welcome the spring season with a delightful Handbell Concert presented by the Iowa Lakes Handbell Choir. Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 28, at 4 pm, as the melodies fill the First Presbyterian Church located at 3501 Hill Avenue, Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Directed by Carol Ayres Stueven, the Iowa Lakes Community College Handbell Choir performs on a six-octave range of Schulmerich handbells, spanning from G2 to G8. Crafted from bronze, these handbells vary in weight from four ounces to 26 pounds, creating a lovely sound. Complementing the performance are the seven-octave hand chimes, adding depth to the overall performance.

The Handbell Choir will be joined by the Lakes Area Community Handbell Choir, in addition to the First Presbyterian Adult and Youth Handbell Choirs.

The performance will include selections by each handbell ensemble, as well as a special performance featuring three handbell choirs and a collaborative piece showcasing all four groups harmonizing together. The concert will also feature various instruments and drums.

Donations will be gratefully accepted to help purchase and maintain handbells and hand chimes.
