(Estherville, Iowa) Summer registration for classes at Iowa Lakes Community College is now open, and Early Bird Fall Registration and Orientation days start at the end of April. Summer classes are perfect for students who want to get ahead – or catch up – on coursework.

Iowa Lakes Community College offers three summer sessions with in-person or hybrid classes, three online summer sessions in collaboration with the Iowa Community College Online Consortium (ICCOC), and Laker Now courses.

“Our summer classes at Iowa Lakes are a great opportunity for you to either catch up or work ahead with your college coursework. We have a flexible schedule and offer a wide range of general education courses to choose from. The process is straightforward, and it is easy to get registered,” shared Annie Kalous, Director of Admissions at Iowa Lakes.

Iowa Lakes continues to offer many choices for courses at different times to accommodate the busy schedules of working adults and students in college and high school.

This summer, Iowa Lakes offers face-to-face, online, hybrid, hybrid fast-track, and Laker Now courses. Laker Now courses are only available during the summer term, and feature live virtual sessions through Zoom or Microsoft Teams on scheduled days and times with recordings made for later viewing.

The online courses through ICCOC offer a diverse selection of classes during our first 8-week session. We also have a second 8-week session and a 4-week session that have a smaller selection of courses; however, these courses are our most popular general education courses,” explains Laura Howard, Distance Learning Operations Supervisor at Iowa Lakes.
