PRESS RELEASE: IOWA LAKES AND ELC INVITE COMMUNITY TO 13TH ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL BASH
ESTHERVILLE, Iowa — Iowa Lakes Community College and the Estherville Lincoln Central Community School District are once again partnering to welcome students, families, and community members to the 13th Annual Back to School Bash on Wednesday, August 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the green space at Iowa Lakes Community College’s Estherville Campus.
The free community celebration has become a favorite tradition, bringing together families of all ages to celebrate the beginning of a new school year. Guests can enjoy a complimentary meal featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and water while participating in games, activities, giveaways, and entertainment throughout the evening.
Iowa Lakes athletic teams will host interactive games and activities for children, while DJ Lyle Clarken will provide music throughout the event, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for everyone in attendance.
“The Back to School Bash is one of our favorite opportunities to welcome students and families back for another school year,” said Troy Larson, Vice President of Student Services, Iowa Lakes Community College. “This event reflects the strong partnership between Iowa Lakes and Estherville Lincoln Central and celebrates the importance of education, community, and coming together before another exciting year begins.”
Brad Leonard, ELC High School Principal, said the event continues to demonstrate what makes the Estherville community special.
“Back to School Bash brings together students, families, educators, and community members to celebrate the start of another school year,” Leonard said. “We’re grateful for the partnership with Iowa Lakes and for everyone who helps make this event such a meaningful tradition for our community.”
The event is free and open to the public. Whether you’re an ELC family, Iowa Lakes student, alumni, or community member, everyone is invited to join in the festivities and help kick off another great school year.
