PRESS RELEASE: EMMY AWARD-WINNING PERFORMER SHAUN JOHNSON TO BRING THE GOLDEN ERA OF COUNTRY MUSIC TO THE ESTHERVILLE PERFORMING ARTS SERIES
ESTHERVILLE, Iowa – Fans of classic country music are invited to relive the soundtrack of the 1990s as Emmy® Award-winning performer Shaun Johnson brings Shaun Sings Country – ’90s Edition to the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The performance is part of the 2026-27 Estherville Performing Arts Series.
Featuring the unforgettable hits that defined one of country music’s most celebrated decades, Shaun Sings Country – ’90s Edition showcases songs made famous by legendary artists including Alan Jackson, George Strait, Tim McGraw, and Travis Tritt.
Rather than simply recreating familiar songs, Johnson combines live performances with personal stories from his own career in Nashville, offering audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the music, songwriting, and culture that helped shape country music during its commercial peak.
An Iowa native, Johnson is an Emmy® Award winner and longtime frontman of the nationally acclaimed vocal group Tonic Sol-fa. Throughout more than two decades of touring, he also lived and worked in Nashville, writing songs, collaborating with artists, and performing across the country. His career includes a Billboard® Top 5 album along with appearances on HBO and NBC.
Joining Johnson on stage is a seasoned group of musicians featuring David Stanoch on drums, Louis Stanoch on guitar, and Jeremy Boettcher on bass. Together, they deliver an engaging concert experience rooted in exceptional musicianship, authentic storytelling, and timeless songs that continue to resonate with audiences today.
The concert begins at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, at the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center on the Iowa Lakes Community College Estherville campus.
The performance is included with Estherville Performing Arts Series memberships and season ticket packages. Individual admission is $20 (all-inclusive pricing with no additional fees). Children and Iowa Lakes students are admitted free. A small reception will follow the performance.
