NOTICE OF HEARING AND LETTING- REROOF PROJECT
A hearing will be conducted on the proposed plans and specifications for the Iowa Lakes Community
College Reroof Project, located in Estherville, Iowa at a meeting with the Board to be held at the Iowa Lakes
Community College Sustainable Energy & Resource Technology Conference Room 2421 7th Ave South,
Estherville Iowa, Tuesday March 21st at 4:30 pm CST at which time and place any person may appear and file
objections to the proposed plans, specifications and form of contract for the Project.

SEALED PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE, MARCH 9,
2023, AT 11:00 AM AT IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE, 19 SOUTH 7TH STREET, ESTHERVILLE, IA
51334 IN THE 1ST FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM AT SUCH TIME AND PLACE WILL BE OPENED AND
PUBLICLY READ.

  • Bids must be submitted on the approved Bid Form available in the Contract Documents or a
    printable electronic Bid Form is available from the Architect. No oral, facsimile, electronic or
    telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Bids received after the deadline for
    submission of Bids as stated herein shall not be considered and shall be returned to the late
    Bidder unopened.
  • Consideration of the Bids received, and the award of the Contract or other action may be made by
    the Iowa Lakes Community College Board upon the proposals received in accordance with the law
    and the Contract Documents at its meeting to be held at Iowa Lakes Community College
    Sustainable Energy & Resource Technology Conference Room 2421 7th Ave South, Estherville
    Iowa at 4:30 P.M. 21st of March 2023.
  • Contract Documents may be examined at the office of the Architect or obtained from the
    reprographer, Sioux City Blueprint (712) 258-6840) for a $150 refundable deposit. Contract
    Documents may also be examined at the following Building Exchanges:

  •  Work under the proposed Contract shall be commenced upon receipt of signed Contract and shall
    be completed in a timely manner by August 15, 2023.
  • The Iowa Lakes Community College, Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, re-advertise
    for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the Board.
  • Plans and Specifications governing the construction of said improvements have been prepared by
    CMBA Architects, Spencer, Iowa which plans and specifications to and defining said proposed
    improvements are hereby made a part of this Notice and the proposed contract shall be executed
    to comply therein.
  • A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held at Iowa Lakes Community College, 19 South 7th Street,
    Estherville, IA 51334. 1st Floor Conference room at 11:00 AM, February 15th, 2023.
    All interested contractors, sub-contractors and material suppliers are encouraged to attend. The Owner,
    Architect and Consulting Engineers will be present to describe the Project and answer questions.
    Attendance is not mandatory, but is recommended. There will be an opportunity to view each site,
    starting at the Administration Building, moving to the Estherville Campus and finishing up at the
    Emmetsburg campus.
