New Date Announced for the Kossuth County “Dancing with the Local Stars” Scholarship Fundraiser
(Estherville, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Community College announced today that the Kossuth County Scholarship Fundraiser, “Dancing with the Local Stars” that was initially scheduled for March 1st and 2nd, 2019 has been rescheduled for November 15th and 16th 2019 at the Summit Center in Bancroft.
“We wish to extend sincere thanks to our dancers, sponsors and community members for their enthusiasm and commitment to this event! It is our committee’s belief that postponing the event will be in the best interest of our participants, sponsors and scholarship recipients. We know that these scholarship funds play a vital part in our students achieving their educational goals. It is our hope that by moving the event we will provide participants adequate time to prepare and also ensure another fantastic event while raising money for students in Kossuth County,” said Alison Mason.
Tickets are anticipated to go on sale in September 2019 and performances will take place on Friday, November 15th and Saturday, November 16th. Tables of eight will be sold for $400, and individual tickets will be available for $50 each. The ticket price includes a donation to the scholarship fund, a night of entertainment, the opportunity to have a “red carpet” photo, and to enjoy hearty appetizers and desserts. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m.
All proceeds raised from this event go toward scholarships for students who reside in Kossuth County and who attend Iowa Lakes Community College. The recipients of these scholarships truly appreciate the financial support as they pursue their education.
