PARIS TO PITTSBURGH

Spotlighting the cities, states, businesses and citizens taking action, Paris to Pittsburgh explores the very real social and economic impacts of climate change, from America’s heartland to the nation’s coastlines. The film features voices from local leaders as well as everyday Americans presenting the stories behind climate-related recovery and resiliency. Their stories highlight tireless innovative efforts to reduce carbon emissions, including boomtowns formerly reliant on coal such as Pittsburgh. Locations featured in the film include Puerto Rico, California, Iowa, Florida and New Jersey.

“The Paris to Pittsburgh film highlights environmental concerns and the way we adapt to challenges we face as human beings. While the film draws its title from the US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement, the essence of the film centers around people and their desire to do what makes sense for our energy and environmental concerns. While it may challenge peoples’ assumptions, as it should, the film does a good job delivering a message of hopefulness and confidence that people can and do make a difference every day,” said Dan Lutat, Sustainable Energy Resources & Technologies Director.

The doors open at 7 PM and Iowa Lakes will be serving popcorn and drinks to enjoy during this special viewing. opens in a new windowFor more information on the Paris to Pittsburgh documentary visit https://www.paristopittsburgh.com.
