Lonni Patten Memorial Scholarship Awarded

(Estherville, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Community College awarded the Lonni Patten Memorial Scholarship for 2019-2020 to Faith Mortenson from St. James, Minnesota.

This endowed scholarship was established in 2000 by family, friends and Iowa Lakes employees in memory of Lonni Patten. Patten was a caring and dedicated Iowa Lakes Child Care and Early Childhood Education program student until the time of her death. Those who knew her were impressed by her love of children, friendly outgoing nature, helpfulness to her peers and determination to complete her education.

Eligible candidates are students with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, enrolled full-time in the Early Childhood Education program at Iowa Lakes Community College. Students must also display financial need determined by FAFSA results.
