Lloyd (Bunny) Houseman Memorial Scholarship Awarded

(Estherville, Iowa) The Houseman Family, of Estherville, established the Lloyd (Bunny) Houseman Memorial Scholarship in 2007. A love for auto racing and a natural interest in auto repair and fuel service led Bunny to found Houseman Oil Co. in 1946. Sons, Rick and Bob, continued the tradition through Riverside Sinclair, Estherville’s only full-service station; Houseman Oil Co., fuel oil delivery; and Card-trol, a 24/7 fueling station.

The scholarship requires full-time enrollment in Auto Technology program. The award is $500 and must be used for tuition, books or fees.

The Iowa Lakes Community College 2019-2020 recipient of the Lloyd (Bunny) Houseman Memorial Scholarship is Lane Evenson of Swea City.
