Last Dollar Scholarship Program Fills $515,000 In Tuition Gaps For Iowa Lakes Community College Students
(Estherville, Iowa) The Last Dollar Scholarship program fills financial gaps for Iowa Lakes Community College students enrolled in high-employment demand programs to the tune of over $515,000 for the 2019-2020 school year.
The Iowa Last-Dollar Scholarship covers any tuition gaps not covered by other federal and state grants/scholarships for eligible Iowa residents enrolled in targeted, high-demand career and technical programs at Iowa Lakes Community College.
The Last Dollar Scholarship program is available to recent high school graduates and employed or unemployed adults who are seeking to improve their skills and have been a resident of Iowa for at least five years. Additional qualifications include enrolling in an eligible field of study and completing a FAFSA on time.
“The Last Dollar Scholarship has benefited many Iowa residents and helped reduce the cost of college for many students. I recommend that any Iowa resident considering enrolling in one of the eligible programs focus on completing a FAFSA by the July 1st deadline,” said Stephen Pelzer, Financial Aid Director at Iowa Lakes Community College.
The following programs offered at Iowa Lakes Community College qualify for the Last Dollar Scholarship: Agriculture Production Technology, Aviation & Airport Management, Business Administration & Management, Computer Programming, Construction Technology, Digital, Social, & Broadcast Productions, Electrical Technology, Environmental Studies, Farm Equipment & Diesel Technology, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Nursing, Surgical Technology, Veterinary Technician, Web Development & Design, Welding, and Wind Energy & Turbine Technology.
