(Estherville, Iowa) The Last Dollar Scholarship program in Iowa extends the application deadline to August 1, 2020, allowing individuals considering attending Iowa Lakes Community College another chance to obtain additional financial aid funding.
“The extended deadline will benefit many Iowa residents who were unable to complete the FAFSA by the original deadline and may potentially qualify for the Last Dollar Scholarship. I encourage anyone considering attending Iowa Lakes to take advantage of this opportunity for a chance to obtain Last Dollar Scholarship funding,” said Stephen Pelzer, Financial Aid Director at Iowa Lakes Community College.
The Last Dollar Scholarship program encourages enrollment in high demand career and technical programs for high school graduates and adults looking to make career changes.
“The Last Dollar Scholarship program helps Iowa residents and high school graduates pay for college in programs that tend to have strong employment opportunities upon graduation,” explains Pelzer.
The following programs offered at Iowa Lakes Community College qualify for the Last Dollar Scholarship: Agriculture Production Technology, Aviation & Airport Management, Business Administration & Management, Computer Programming, Construction Technology, Digital, Social, & Broadcast Productions, Electrical Technology, Environmental Studies, Farm Equipment & Diesel Technology, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Nursing, Surgical Technology, Veterinary Technician, Web Development & Design, Welding, and Wind Energy & Turbine Technology.
