Jean King Memorial Scholarship Awarded

(Estherville, Iowa) The Jean King Memorial Scholarship was established at Iowa Lakes Community College in 2005. Jean taught nursing at Iowa Lakes for 21 years and then taught the University of Iowa RN/BSN program housed at Iowa Lakes. Jean valued higher education and was in inspiration and role model to those who knew her.

The successful candidate for this scholarship is a full-time sophomore in Associate Degree Nursing with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and a permanent Iowa resident. The scholarship award is $1,000 and must be used for tuition, books or fees.

The 2019-2020 recipient is Abigail Kintzle of Armstrong.
