Jam the Gym Laker Visit Day Available at Iowa Lakes Community College

Iowa Lakes Community College will hold the annual Jam the Gym Laker Visit Day on Saturday, February 11, beginning at 10 a.m., on the Estherville Campus for anyone considering attending college at Iowa Lakes and their families.

The Laker Visit Day will include a tour of campus, presentations from Student Services areas, a meeting with an academic advisor, and a free lunch.

Jam the Gym will feature Laker basketball games versus the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Bears. The Laker Women tip off at 1:00 p.m., and Laker Men tip off at 3:00 p.m.

“We want to create a fun atmosphere for our prospective students and family members, as well as showcase all that Iowa Lakes has to offer. We would love to see the gym packed with excitement and enthusiasm from current students to prospective students to faculty, staff and community members,” explained Annie Kalous, Director of Admissions.

Prospective students attending the Jam the Gym Laker Visit Day will have the opportunity to win prizes, including a $500 Iowa Lakes scholarship.

Individuals planning to attend the Laker Visit Day, please use Entrance 1. If only attending the Jam the Gym event, please use Entrance 2.
