IOWA LAKES TO ANNOUNCE FOUR FINALISTS FOR COLLEGE PRESIDENT POSITION

(Estherville, Iowa) The Iowa Lakes Community College Board of Trustees approved the Presidential Search Committee’s recommendation of four finalist candidates for the next college president of Iowa Lakes Community College.
Each candidate is scheduled to be on the Iowa Lakes campuses this week, beginning on Tuesday, April 5, and ending on Friday, April 8, in the auditoriums of both the Emmetsburg and Estherville Campuses. The open forums are scheduled for 10:00 am at the Emmetsburg Campus and 1:15 pm on the Estherville Campus each day.
The first candidate for the next president of Iowa Lakes Community College is Dr. Martin Reimer. Dr. Reimer currently serves as the Provost at Ellsworth Community College (ECC), an institution that is part of the Iowa Valley Community College District.
Dr. Reimer began his career as an elementary teacher at the Colegio Americano in Puebla, Mexico, before transitioning into international business. He worked in the oil industry for Trouvay & Cauvin and in institutional banking with JPMorgan Chase Bank in Texas and Japan. Upon re-entering the field of education, Dr. Reimer worked as the Dean of Corporate College and Dean of Student Support at Western Iowa Tech Community College before joining the ECC team.
Dr. Reimer earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in higher education administration from Capella University. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central College in Pella, Iowa.
Iowa Lakes will announce each of the remaining three candidates the day before their scheduled visit to campus, with more information available on the Iowa Lakes website at iowalakes.edu/presidential-search.
