Iowa Lakes Offers Spring Concert

(Estherville, Iowa) The Iowa Lakes Community College Music Department will offer a Spring Concert on May 2 at 6:30 pm in the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center to welcome the cheery awakening of Spring and showcase the talented musicians from the Iowa Lakes music ensembles.

The Spring Concert will share the music of the Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Concert Choir, Handbell Ensemble, and Jazz Band. Songs planned for the performance include the well-known songs “Hallelujah,” “Shut Up and Dance,” and “Hooked on a Feeling.”

The Handbell Ensemble will also perform an original composition written by an Iowa Lakes student, Kory Fisher. Additionally, the Concert Choir will be presenting “Please Stay,” an Anthem of Hope and Suicide Prevention that deals with the critical subject of mental health.

This concert will be at the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center on the Estherville Campus and will be free of charge. Everyone is welcome to attend!
