IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE MUSIC DEPARTMENT HOSTS 2025 JAZZ BAND CONTEST

(Estherville, Iowa) The Iowa Lakes Community College Music Department announces the 2025 Jazz Band Contest for January 23 and 24 at the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center on the Estherville Campus at 300 South 18th Street.

High school jazz bands from across the region will showcase their musical talent and teamwork during this exciting two-day event. Bands will compete in Divisions 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies awarded in each division. Additionally, the judges will recognize individual excellence with awards for outstanding soloists. Participating bands will benefit from on-stage clinics conducted by expert judges, who will also provide feedback and recognize standout soloists.

This event is free and open to the public, offering music enthusiasts and supporters of local talent the opportunity to enjoy the performances.
