Iowa Lakes Community College Awarded for Military and Veteran Friendly Efforts


Iowa Lakes Community College receives prestigious “Top 10 Gold” designation on the Military Friendly® program list for assisting military and veteran students and faculty.
(Estherville, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Community College receives award designations recognizing efforts to serve military service members and veterans. Iowa Lakes received a “Top 10 Gold” Military Friendly® designation for 2021-2022, a 2020 Top Veteran-Friendly School, and the Certified Higher-Education Academic Military Partner (CHAMP) designation.
“Iowa Lakes has a proud tradition of recognizing and supporting our Military and Veteran students and staff. Some well-established organizations that rate educational value have recognized our efforts. It takes the entire organization being on the same page to set Iowa Lakes apart. We work hard to ensure that our students are getting the best value for their educational dollars. Iowa Lakes received 8th place on the 2021-2022 “Top 10 Gold” Military Friendly® Schools list for small community colleges out of more than 1,000 participating schools. The “Top 10 Gold” designation is the highest honor possible through the prestigious Military Friendly® program created by VIQTORY, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business founded in 2001.
