IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES CAST FOR TARZAN®

Tarzan Stage Musical

(Estherville, Iowa) Get ready to swing into action! Iowa Lakes Community College will present Disney’s Tarzan® at the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center (P.A.C.) on April 11, 12, and 13, 2024. Director Carol Ayres Stueven is pleased to unveil the talented cast lineup for Tarzan®.

The production will star college student Parker Partello (Spirit Lake) in the title role of Tarzan, alongside college student Kristen Kuiper (Spirit Lake) as Jane, community member Katrina Lutzow (Estherville) as Kala, college student Rubin Charles (Morne Pignon, Nord, Haiti) as Kerchak, college student LaTravion Agu (Huntsville, Texas) as Terk, and community member Michael Nichols (Graettinger) as Professor Porter. Sixth-grader Mason Lutzow (Estherville) will play Young Tarzan, and sixth-grader Ethan Truong (Spirit Lake) will play Young Terk.

The cast also features college student Megan McFarlin (Glenwood, IA) as Mother; college student Anthony Trigger (Estherville) as Father; college student Hailey Schneider (Milford) as the Leopard; and college student Trevor Zellmer (Pierce, NE) as Clayton.

The ape ensemble will be college student Anthony Trigger (Estherville), sixth grader Boden Giere (Spirit Lake), high school senior Caleb Lausen (Estherville), community member Deb Weston (Estherville), high school senior Eli Ross (Estherville), college student Elizabeth Land (Spirit Lake), college student Emily Kreutner (Ruthven), Hailey Schneider (Milford), high school senior Joaquin Mata (Estherville), college student Kai Li Dong (Estherville), high school sophomore Lily Strom (Estherville), community member Lorie Irwin (Estherville), college student Megan McFarlin (Glenwood, IA), community member Mindy Truong (Spirit Lake), community member Serena Lynch (Estherville), and college student Vanessa Reardon (Spencer).

Adding a touch of whimsy, the dancing flowers, plants, and insects will be fourth grader Abigail Gast (Spirit Lake), fifth grader Adelynn Hamm (Estherville), fifth grader Aliyah Obernolte (Wallingford), fifth grader Briley Rosburg (Estherville), fourth grader Iris Hamm (Estherville), seventh-grader Madalen Strom (Estherville), fourth grader Nora Strom (Estherville), eighth grader Reagan Clabaugh (Estherville), and fourth grader Rylee Clabaugh (Estherville). Community members David Swanson (Spirit Lake) and Mary Schumacher (Estherville) will sing in the ensemble. Lynn Peterson will lend her creative genius as the costume designer.

Director Ayres Stueven expresses her enthusiasm for the exceptional talent assembled for the musical, exclaiming, “I’m truly excited about the incredible talent that auditioned for the musical! We’re fortunate to welcome both new and returning voices to our stage. Our musical productions provide a special chance for multi-generational connections between college and community participants, and we’ve assembled a fantastic cast to bring these roles to life.”
