IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Iowa Lakes Community College is accepting bids to replace an existing rooftop HVAC unit for the Arts and Sciences Building at the Estherville campus. Sealed bids will be received until 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Iowa Lakes Community College, 19 South 7th Street, Estherville, Iowa 51334, at which hour, or as soon as possible thereafter, the received bids will be opened and considered for furnishing labor, materials and equipment necessary for the timely completion of said project. If mailed, mail to Iowa Lakes Community College, Executive Director of Facilities Management, 19 South 7th Street, Estherville, Iowa 51334, Attn: Delaine Hiney.
Bids may be mailed or dropped off at the address above. Contractor has the option to email the bid to firstname.lastname@example.org new email prior to the bid opening date/time. If contractor chooses to email bid, bids shall be received by 12:00 PM on bid day.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the bid opening will not be public, but will be held virtually. The bid tabulation will be posted as soon as possible after the bid opening. Contact Joe Bannwarth at email@example.com new email for a link to the bid opening.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held for potential Prime Bidders on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Iowa Lakes Community College, Entrance Number 1, 300 South 18th Street, Estherville, Iowa 51334. No tours will be scheduled after the date of the Pre-Bid Conference. Site visits may be arranged with Ms. Delaine Hiney, 712-380-2255 (mobile), at the College’s discretion.
A Public Hearing will be held January 19, 2021 at 4:30 PM at the SERT Building, 2421 7th Avenue, South, Estherville, Iowa 51334.
All bids will be for a single Prime Contract to complete the work in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by Farris Engineering Inc., 12700 West Dodge Road, Omaha, Nebraska 68154 and bids will be received only upon the printed Proposal Forms furnished by the Engineer.
Bid Security is required to be submitted with the bid proposal form. Make payable to Iowa Lakes Community College in the amount of 5% of the Lump Sum Bid Amount. Bid Security shall be of: cashiers check, certified check, or Bid Bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Iowa. Form of Bid Bond is AIA Document A310.

Prime Contractors may obtain bidding documents from A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, (800) 228- 2753, upon payment of $50 per set, which will be refunded in full if documents are returned within fifteen (15) days of the bid date. Payment is accepted in the form of check, payable to Farris Engineering, Inc. Bid documents are to be returned to A&D Technical Supply Company, Omaha, NE.
All work shall be substantially completed by Tuesday, April 15, 2021 or as negotiated.
No bidder may withdraw their bid within 15 days after Receipt of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, to evaluate the bids and to accept the bid which best serves their interest.
