Don and Kay Schafer Memorial Scholarship Awarded

(Estherville, Iowa) The Don and Kay Schafer Memorial Scholarship was established at Iowa Lakes Community College by their family and friends. Don graduated from  West Bend High School, and Kay graduated from Mallard. They were lifelong members of the West Bend and Mallard areas.
Scholarship requirements are a graduating West Bend-Mallard senior who plans to enroll full-time at Iowa Lakes Community College. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and financial need determined by FAFSA for results. The Award is $500 to be used for tuition, books or fees.

The 2019-20 recipient is Cole Hoskins of West Bend.
