(Estherville, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Community College and the Professional Dog Grooming hosts a family-friendly Grooming Competition on April 2 and 3. The Grooming Competition will be held in the Wellness Center Gym on the Emmetsburg Campus starting at 9 am. Community members are invited to watch groomers compete and visit vendor booths.
“We are inviting the public to join the fun for $5. People will be able to watch talented dog groomers compete and shop for all things dog-related at the vendor booths,” said Sierra Elbert, Iowa Lakes’ Continuing Education Program Coordinator for Dog Grooming.
Many vendors plan to participate, including Love Groomers, Harebone Shears, Super Coats, Dave’s Mobile Sharpening Service, Super Coats by Pam Lauritzen, Sharp Edges Sharpening Service – Illinois, GroomEd – Scott Wasserman Handstripping Booth, Kay’s Signs & Designs, Loop Dawgy Dawg, Blossoming Creations, All for Groomers, Suezee Soaps, and an Iowa Lakes Pup Treats.
All dog lovers are welcome to attend the event, but dogs themselves will need to stay home, as they will not be allowed into the event due to the competition guidelines.
