Heartland Honor Choir

You are invited to the 7^th Annual Heartland Honor Choir on Thursday, October 21 at Iowa Lakes Community College. It will be held in our brand-new 500-seat Performing Arts Center!

We have tried to create a unique musical experience for the smaller schools in Iowa. Each school can bring up to 32 students (for some, that means they can bring a majority of their choir). The practices occur all day with the performance in the evening at 6:00 pm. The only cost is the food for lunch and dinner which is $12 per student.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Kurt Runestad, Director of Choral Activities at Doane University has agreed to be our guest conductor this year!

We plan for it to be a day full of music education, where the students can learn not only music that they can perform at each individual school, but that the students will grow in their musical ability, knowledge and love for vocal music throughout the day.
