17th Annual Lakes Health Conference – You Don’t Have to Have Superpowers to be a Super Hero!

(Estherville, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Community College announces the 17th Annual Lakes Health Conference; You Don’t Have to Have Superpowers to be a Superhero. This year, the event will be held online via Zoom webinar on June 3 and 4.

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience an outstanding slate of ten talented everyday heroes discussing health care topics pertinent to nurses, social workers, emergency medical service professionals, health care professionals, and mental health workers.

The conference will cover many diverse topics, including Epidemiology of COVID-19, Burn-Out: It Affects More Than Just You, Neurobehaviorial Challenges & Acquired Brain Injury, Cultural Competence in Healthcare, First Aid for Mental Health, and more.

Featured speakers include HK Derryberry with Jim Bradburry, Gene Dickey, Dr. Michael Pentella, Ruth Buckels, Jerrod Murr, Dave Anders, Dr. Mandi Ward, Dr. Andrew Mayo, Elisabeth Virkler, and Dr. Lisa Lowe.

Conference participants can earn up to 12 continuing education credits or contact hours and a Certificate of Attendance. To receive contact hours, participants must participate in the whole conference.

An early-bird registration fee of $155 is available if purchased before May 1. Regular registration after May 1 is $175.  The registration fee includes tuition, handouts, continuing education certificate, and recording fees.
