10th Annual Back to School Bash Canceled Due to Extreme Heat

(Estherville, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Community College and the Estherville-Lincoln Central School district have canceled the 10th Annual Back to School Bash due to the forecasted extreme heat. The Back to School Bash was previously scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 2023, on the Estherville Campus of Iowa Lakes Community College. The Back to School Bash will not be rescheduled for this year.

“Unfortunately, extreme heat can pose significant health risks; canceling the event allows us to prioritize the health and safety of our students and their families. While it is disappointing that the event won’t take place as planned, there are many other opportunities and activities to look forward to as the school year begins. Make sure to stay updated with any future events and announcements from Iowa Lakes Community College and Estherville-Lincoln Central,” said Troy Larson, Iowa Lakes Community College Executive Dean of Students.
