A Career Resource Center is located on both the Estherville and Emmetsburg campuses.  

Services are also available to students attending Iowa Lakes campuses in Spirit Lake, Spencer and Algona.  

Appointments may be made in advance or drop-in appointments are also possible if the Career Center Coordinator is available.

In today's job market, a college degree does not guarantee employment. The Career Resource Center will partner with you to facilitate the career planning and employment process.
 
As a student, your attitude, initiative, grades, internship experiences, volunteer services and willingness to travel and relocate are just a few of the factors determining employment success.
 
Seek assistance in the Career Resource Center to:

Iowacareer.net helps students find Iowa careers that match their degrees, and gives employers access to qualified graduates for their companies. Optimal Resume Optimal Resume is provided for current students and alumni to launch their professional lives through innovative, interactive modules that allow creation of resumes, letters, reference sheets, and more. OptimalResume.com also provides skill assessment, successful interview skill development, and individual Web pages that showcase these documents.  To access optimalresume.com, you will need a valid Iowa Lakes Community College email address. Alumni can also access and use the site free of charge.

Corporate-Connect Corporate-Connect® offers new cutting-edge opportunities for employers to post job campaigns, and allows job seekers to explore career opportunities. OnlineRecruiting™ allows employers to connect with students without visiting campus and features exciting new online interviewing and videoconferencing options.
