BURNS, BOSTON, ACHIEVE RECOGNITION ON
ALL-AMERICAN TEAMS
Two members of the top NJCAA Division II
national team have achieved additional preseason
recognition.
Robert Burns was selected to the preseason First
Team All American squad and Armon Boston was
named a Second Team All American in the
preseason listing.
Burns, a 65 forward from Milwaukee Wisc., is
in his second year with Coach Troy Larson.
Burns prepped at Custer High School. In his
first season at Iowa Lakes, he averaged 14.5
points and 7.1 rebounds per game, shooting 48%
from the field and 65% from the free throw line.
Also from Milwaukee, is Armon Boston, a 61
guard who prepped at Vincent High School. He
averaged 12.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2
assists during his freshman year as a Laker,
shooting 50% from the floor and 73% from the
charity stripe.
It is an honor to have Robert and Armon named
to the Preseason All American Teams, said Head
Coach Troy Larson. It is a result of them
having very good freshman seasons. Both are
good young men and I really enjoy coaching
them.
Iowa Lakes is currently 1 0 on the season and
just last week found out they are ranked #1 in
the nation in the NJCAA division II national
poll.
