RICCA SOPER SIGNS WITH UNO FOR THE 2009-2010 SEASON

Iowa Lakes Community College graduate Ricca Soper will continue her education and her golf game next year at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

While at Iowa Lakes, Soper played for her father, coach Dan Soper. She was a 2008 national qualifier following a third-place regional finish. During her Sophomore season at Iowa Lakes she finished in the top four individually in every meet and earned 1st team All Region honors with her 2nd place finish at the Region XI Women's tournament while leading her team to a 1st place finish and a berth in the 2009 Women's NJCAA National Tournament.  Additionally she earned 1st Team Academic All Region honors as well as Distinguished Academic All-American honors with a cumulative grade point of 3.96. 

While at Estherville Lincoln High School, she was the 2007 Athlete of the Year after earning first team all-conference honors in volleyball and softball and second team all-conference in basketball during her senior season.  Soper will pursue her accounting degree while studying at UNO.
