JOHN HAND SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED AT IOWA LAKES

Iowa Lakes Community College is announcing the establishment of the John Hand Scholarship.

This one-time scholarship to be awarded during the 2008-09 academic year has been established in honor of John Hand of Emmetsburg in honor of his many years of service as an Iowa Lakes Community College Trustee.  Hand served as Board of Trustees President prior to retiring from the board recently.

Eligible candidates for this scholarship must be Palo Alto County permanent residents attending Iowa Lakes Community College full time.  The award may be used for tuition, books and/or fees. 

Deadline for applying for this scholarship is Monday, September 15, 2008.
