RECIPIENTS NAMED FOR HELENE FULD HEALTH TRUST
NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS

Fifteen individuals have been given Helene Fuld Health Trust Nursing Scholarships at Iowa Lakes Community College.

The scholarships are funded by a grant to provide Associate Degree Nursing students with scholarships each year over a two-year period.  The students may use this scholarship to assist with tuition, books, living expenses and travel expenditures to classes and nursing clinicals.  These scholarships are designed to reduce the student’s college related debt and therefore increase the likelihood of completion of their coursework, allowing them to concentrate on studies while working fewer hours.

The recipients for the Spring 2002 term are:  Tamara Steinman, Algona; Kathryn Zaugg, Ayrshire; Jeanne Zylstra, Emmetsburg; Robin Rozenboom, Estherville; Angie Kruse, Granada, Minn.; Kristine Boughey, Laurens; Mary Becker, Lakota; Theresa Polzin, Ledyard; Kristi Carlson and Lauren Hoksbergen, Milford; Jennifer Cummins, Ringsted; Katie Hoffman, Heather Matherly, Rebecca Swenson, and Steven VanStralen, Spencer; April Mueller, Spirit Lake; Joyce Deeds, Truman, Minn.; and Jessica Welp, Whittemore.
