Emmetsburg student senators at Iowa Lakes Community College are the recipients of $375, thanks to the Emmetsburg Knights of Columbus.
The students used November’s Fall Harvest Dinner in Emmetsburg as a way to show their support of the community.
The Knights of Columbus members of Emmetsburg sponsor the event and the students prepare food for 600-700 people – most of whom wish to eat at approximately the same time.
When the check was handed over to the club, members of the KCs, said the help from the student senators is appreciated.
They also expressed gratitude to the people of Emmetsburg and the surrounding area for supporting the event, stating that there always seems to be a good crowd at the annual event.
