A student in the Landscape and Turfgrass Technology Program at Iowa Lakes Community College is the recipient of a scholarship from the Palo Alto County Garden Club.
Danielle Carrigan, Emmetsburg, was selected for the scholarship after responding to an essay question concerning the value of garden clubs in a community.
“I am very honored to receive this scholarship,” said Carrigan. “It was very generous and I am extremely grateful. Thank you.”
Carrigan is a freshman student at Iowa Lakes.
The Landscape and Turfgrass Technology program is a two-year Associate in Applied Science program. Students receive three, on-the-job training experiences at a business of their choice.
