The Iowa Lakes Community College Men’s Basketball moved up five spots in this week’s NJCAA Div. II top 25 coaches’ poll to #10.
The Lakers are on a five-game winning streak and have made marks in the win column 7 of their last 8 games. Four players for Iowa Lakes average double digits in scoring; leading the way in this category is Kelly Madison from Des Moines putting up 17 points per game; followed by Ben Shellim from Melbourne, Australia, with 13; Deondre Parks from Flint, Mich., adding 12; and Josh Schaben from Harlan putting up 11. The Lakers have been holding their conference opponents to 34% shooting from the field which gives them an advantage in rebounds per game by 7.
