Iowa Lakes Community College Wind Energy students recently received Gedore multi-pliers for use during practical classroom and lab instruction.
Gedore Tools, INC is a tool manufacturing company based out of Remscheid, Germany. The internationally known company manufactures tools for the automotive, aviation and wind industry. With Gedore’s optimum material properties and perfected ergonomics, users of their tools are guaranteed enhanced safety and tool longevity.
Gedore’s commitment to education and renewable energy sources has allowed the company to provide Iowa Lakes Community College students with multi-pliers which combine several functions into a single tool. The pliers are the ideal companion for electrical engineers and are suitable for heavy-duty industrial use.
Craig Evert, Wind Energy and Turbine Technology Instructor at Iowa Lakes Community College, is appreciative of the donation.
“Having these types of tools available for students is important because it provides them with hands-on experience and top-of-the-line equipment,” Evert said.
“The partnerships Iowa Lakes has with industry continue to reinforce its status as the premiere wind energy program in the nation,” commented to Jolene Rogers, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.
Rogers went on to say that, “We appreciate Gedore thinking of the college, and their gift and continued support is greatly appreciated.”
