Iowa Lakes Community College Golf Coach, Andy Soper, has announced the signing of a local women’s golfer.
Cassie Galm, a Spencer High School Senior, officially signed a letter of intent Wednesday afternoon to play golf at Iowa Lakes.
Galm is in her fourth year on the varsity squad at Spencer High School, lettering her first three years while playing for Coach Marc Bruning.
“Having Cassie come to Iowa Lakes will be a huge addition to the Women’s Golf team as well as Iowa Lakes Community College as a whole,” Soper said. “She plans to get her first two years of college as she focuses on Agriculture and then transfers to Iowa State.”
Galm plans to minor in business as she pursues her bachelor’s degree.
“Cassie is a great student of the game – and an even better person in the classroom as well as in the community,” Soper said. “She has a solid foundation that will help her continue her success on and off the golf course.”
Cassie is the daughter of Paul and Brenda Galm of Spencer and the granddaughter of Ron and Milly Feger of Estherville.
