Iowa Lakes Softball defeated #2 ranked Kirkwood CC 6-4 Sunday in Cedar Rapids. The Lakers were led offensively by Kelsey Ennenga going 3-4 and Michelle Thille 2-3. Taylor Mackey improves her pitching record 9-2. Kirkwood won game one 9-1.
“We really needed to get back the basics of Laker softball, hustle, an aggressive attitude, and keeping it simple, catch the ball, throw the ball and get a timely hit. Taylor also made a huge statement by bouncing back after a very average outing in game one.” said Coach
Iowa Lakes has their home opener on Thursday March 31st at 3:30pm vs. NIACC.
