Time is running out to attend the last two sessions of the Annual Iowa Lakes Winter Training Baseball Camps. The two sessions left are scheduled for Feb. 4 and Feb. 11, in Estherville.
The camp, coached by Jason Nell, head coach of the Laker baseball team, is a specialized program that provides young people with a chance to prepare for the upcoming season.
Participants will be evaluated by top coaches to help improve their skill level. During sessions specifically designed for each age group, Coach Nell will demonstrate and teach a variety of skills and fundamentals necessary for players to be successful. Each camper receives personalized attention to facilitate his/her skill development.
The sessions are divided into two age groups; ages 5-12 and 13-18. Participants can choose to attend a defense session and/or offense (hitting) session. Dates remaining are as follows:
Saturday, February 4, defense
Saturday, February 11, offense (hitting)
This year, ages 5-12 will run from 9:30-11 a.m.; ages 13-18 will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
