Iowa Lakes Community College is hosting Quakerdale Prep in Men’s Basketball Wednesday, February 29, at the Iowa Lakes gymnasium in Estherville. Tip off for the last home Men’s game is at 7:30pm.
Quakerdale is Iowa’s first college preparatory basketball program; students enroll as seniors in high school or freshmen in college to hone their skills, raise visibility among college scouts, or improve grades before playing at the college level.
The Laker men are 16 – 12 on the season and 7 – 6 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference. They are currently ranked 5th in the conference standings, and regional tournament play begins March 6. The Lakers are led by Eric Allison, Wendell Pelts, and Mark Rangeley who are all averaging 10 points or more on the season.
