			<description><![CDATA[<div>The Iowa Lakes Community College head men&rsquo;s basketball coach Troy Larson announced the signing of Justin Sloter to join the Laker basketball program this fall.</div>

<div>Sloter, a 6-foot-7-inch guard from Ames High School, was selected first team All-Conference as a junior and senior; was named All-League CIC as a senior; and was the winner of the Richard Agard Award through Ames High that honors an exceptional individual who excels in both leadership and performance in the sport of basketball.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&ldquo;Justin is a highly skilled basketball player,&rdquo; Larson commented. &nbsp;&ldquo;He is a very good shooter especially from behind the arc.&rdquo;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>During his senior season, Sloter scored 310 points - an average of 14.9 per a contest- and had 120 total rebounds &ndash; 5.8 per game. &nbsp;Sloter has broken into the top ten in several categories in Ames High School History; 6th in career scoring, 7th in career rebounds and 9th in offensive performances in a game with 33 points.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&ldquo;Sloter came from a very good high school program at Ames and Coach Downs,&rdquo; said Larson. &nbsp;&ldquo;He understands how to play and has great length which makes him versatile. &nbsp;I&rsquo;m glad he will be a Laker next year.&rdquo; &nbsp;</div>
<div>Justin is the son of Mike and Karen Sloter.</div>

			<description><![CDATA[<div>Iowa Lakes Community College head men&rsquo;s basketball coach, Troy Larson, announced the signing of Brandon Boggs to join the Laker basketball program this fall.</div>

<div>Boggs, a 6-foot-3-inch guard from Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls, S.D., was selected to the All-City team last year after being a critical piece to the Rough Riders 23-2 season; going undefeated in conference play, a district championship, and finishing third at the state tournament.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&ldquo;Brandon comes from an outstanding high school program in Sioux Falls Roosevelt and Coach Taylor,&rdquo; Larson said. &nbsp;&ldquo;He is a strong physical wing with good size. &nbsp;The knowledge he gained in high school has made him a very good motion player who can defend and rebound.&rdquo;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>During his senior season, Boggs averaged 11 points; 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals; and 1 assist per game. &nbsp;He shot 47% from the field and 73% from the free throw line.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&ldquo;We are looking forward to having Brandon as a Laker next season,&rdquo; Coach Larson commented. &nbsp;&ldquo;He also played for Southwest Minnesota Stars AAU program under the direction of Ross and Ryan Reitsma with previous signee Jeff Decock; should bring some instant chemistry which is nice to have with incoming athletes.&rdquo;</div>

<div>Groce, a 6-foot-3-inch guard from Brown Deer High School in Brown Deer Wisc., was selected first team All-Woodland Conference and was conference player of the year runner up as a senior.</div>

<div>&ldquo;D&rsquo;Sean comes from a very good high school program where they won a lot of games,&rdquo; Larson said. &nbsp;&ldquo;He is a long and very skilled player who can shoot the ball well. &nbsp;This, plus his basketball knowledge, has our coaching staff excited about Groce being a Laker the next two years.&rdquo;&nbsp;</div>

<div>During his senior season, Groce &nbsp;scored 373 points, an average of 14.9 points a contest Groce helped lead Brown to a 21&ndash; 4 overall record this past season.</div>

<div>Vasileios, a 6-foot-7-inch forward from Greece is a transfer from NCAA Division II University of Sioux Falls.</div>

<div>&ldquo;Bill will provide us a strong physical presence on the floor coming in with a college ready body,&rdquo; Larson commented. &nbsp;&ldquo;He has a very good understanding of college basketball having played at the University of Sioux Falls. &nbsp;This understanding will help him immediately at Iowa Lakes.&rdquo;</div>

<div>During his final season in Greece, Vasileios played for Aiolos Trikalon Under -18 team averaging 23 points a contest while grabbing 8 rebounds per game as well.&nbsp;</div>

<div>&ldquo;Bill is a great young man, who is a strong student, and has a desire to become a better basketball player,&rdquo; Larson said. &nbsp;&ldquo;All of these traits are what we look for in student athletes in the men&rsquo;s basketball program. &nbsp;We are thrilled to add him to the mix.&rdquo;</div>

<div>During his senior season, Janssen &nbsp;scored 300 points, an average of 14.3 points a contest while grabbing 253 rebounds, 12 rebounds per contest. Janssen helped lead Calamus-Wheatland to a 10&ndash; 13 overall record this past season.</div>

<div>&ldquo;Jake will provide us with a big physical presence inside. &nbsp;He moves very well and has a good skill level. &nbsp;He is a great fit at Iowa Lakes and I&rsquo;m excited to coach him next year.&rdquo; Commented head coach Troy Larson.</div>

<div>During his senior season, Traylor scored 450 points, an average of 17.3 points a contest while grabbing 286 rebounds, 11 rebounds per contest. Traylor helped lead Worthington to a 17 &ndash; 9 overall record this past season.</div>

<div>&ldquo;Morgan comes from an outstanding program with Coach Vorwald. &nbsp;He understands how to play hard and has good basketball sense. &nbsp;He really runs the floor, is bouncy, and will be able to chase balls for us.&rdquo; &nbsp;Commented Head Coach Troy Larson.</div>

<div>&ldquo;Well deserved honor for Deondre,&rdquo; said Iowa Lakes Head Coach Troy Larson, whose team was 26-8 this season. &nbsp;&ldquo;His coachablity, willingness to put the team first and his exceptional work ethic gave him the tools to improve greatly during the season.&rdquo;</div>

<div>&ldquo;He is a young man that wants to make his life better which is what we like being around as educators. &nbsp;I am looking forward to seeing how much he is able to improve next year at Iowa Lakes.&rdquo;</div>

<div>Parks became the Lakers' twelfth All-American selection in school history.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Parks was sixth in the ICCAC in scoring with his 15.3 per game average. He was also third in the league in 3-point percentage (41.2), fifth in the league in free-throw percentage (78.7) and eleventh in the league in rebounding.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Parks recorded 2 double-doubles this season, first on Jan. 14 against Dakota Wesleyan JV and the second against NIACC on Feb. 13.</div>

<div>NIACC freshman David Humphries (first team) and Ellsworth sophomore Malcolm Canada (third team) were also selected to NJCAA Div. II All-American teams.</div>

			<description><![CDATA[<div>The Iowa Lakes Community College head men&rsquo;s basketball coach Troy Larson is proud to announce the signing of Jeff DeCock. He will be joining the Laker basketball program this fall.</div>

<div>DeCock, a 6-foot-2-inch guard from Red Rock Central High School in Lamberton, Minn., was selected first team All-Conference as a sophomore, junior and senior. &nbsp;He was named team MVP the last two years; was first team All-Area in three different newspapers; and was a nominee for KNUJ player-of-the-year.</div>

<div>Over his career, DeCock has a total of 1376 points (2nd all-time in RRC); 383 rebounds; 351 assists; and 162 steals. &nbsp;He scored 42 in a game this season breaking the school single game scoring record &ndash; in the same game he was 16 for 16 from the free throw line putting him in the top 10 in state history for free throws in a single game. &nbsp;As a senior, Jeff averaged 22 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2 steals and shot 71% from the free throw line.</div>

<div>&ldquo;Jeff is a very athletic guard who can play numerous positions. &nbsp;His versatility has allowed him to be a very good high school player,&rdquo; said Coach Larson. &nbsp;&ldquo;He is a great young man who I am looking forward to coaching.&rdquo;</div>
