"Today was a great day to play golf with conditions in the low 80's and no wind. The course played long for the women today at 6,034 yards. We are usually playing around 5700 yards. The biggest difference comes on the par threes playing one at 215 yards compared to on average playing them at 140-150. I felt we competed well specially being the only two year school. We keep getting better each day and I felt that we had a great week of practice just struggled a little today. We'll get back after it this week at practice and get ready for our last fall meet." Said Coach Soper.
Next action for the Laker Women will be Sunday October 7th when they travel to Forest City to play in the Waldorf Fall Invite.

"I am happy with how our first meet went. We have 15 new faces to the Laker program combined. Ben and Sam are returners who qualified for the National Tournament and Ben is a returning All-American. I'm going to lean on those two to be big leaders for the teams. Brandon one of the new faces had a great day shooting 69 in windy conditions was good to see. Him and Ben were high school team mates and it's good to get them back on a team together. I look for those two to be good leaders on the men's team. I am happy with how the meet went and even happier for how the freshman handled their first collegiate meet." Said Coach Soper
Next Action for the Lakers will be September 16, 17, 18th when the Men head to Ottumwa to play in the Indian Hills Fall Invite. Indian Hills is the two time defending National Champions for Division 1 Coached by former Laker Mike Hagen.
