The Kossuth County Golf Outing Scholarship is held annually. Business sponsors and participants have a great time golfing and socializing while raising funds for Kossuth county residents pursuing a college degree at Iowa Lakes Community College. Requirements include permanent Kossuth county resident, full-time (12+ credits) or part-time (6-11 credits) enrollment and a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Award amount varies and must be used for tuition, books or fees.
The 2012-13 recipients are: Anna Bisenius, Nate Samp and Kathleen Spellman of Algona; Annette Hawkins of Bode; Mercedes Forburger of Wesley; and, JoAnn Smith of Whittemore.
