KOFAB of Algona, a leading manufacturer of custom food-processing and material handling equipment, encourages students to pursue a career in welding and metal fabrication. The KOFAB Welding and Metal Fabrication scholarship was established in 2004. Requirement is full-time enrollment in Welding Technology. Preference will be given to incoming freshman graduating from Algona, Bishop Garrigan, or North Union high school. Award amount is $1,000 and must be used for tuition books or fees.
The 2012-13 recipient is Tyler Laubenthal of Wesley.
